麻豆传媒画映 will offer its artificial intelligence program to students at Lenoir Community College through a new agreement between the two schools.
LCC students can take WCC鈥檚 AI classes online after they complete their first-year general education classes. Once they complete the program, they will earn an Associate in Applied Science 鈥� Artificial Intelligence Engineer degree through WCC.
WCC鈥檚 Artificial Intelligence Engineer program gives students the skills to design, implement, and support AI and help organizations transition to AI technology.
WCC President Patty Pfeiffer and LCC President Rusty Hunt signed the official Instructional Service Agreement (ISA) at a ceremony held on WCC鈥檚 campus.
Pfeiffer said the partnership will help the region鈥檚 economic development. 鈥淲e all use artificial intelligence every day,鈥� she said. 鈥淲e know the importance of the industry and the need to educate people within it, so we are honored to partner with LCC.鈥�
Hunt acknowledged the strong partnership between WCC and LCC, which is further strengthened by the new agreement. 鈥淭his is a great opportunity for us,鈥� he said. 鈥淚t delivers resources responsibly across our community college system. It is another avenue to make AI accessible to our students, as well as WCC鈥檚 students.鈥�
WCC was the first community college in the state, and the second in the nation, to offer an associate degree specializing in AI.
This is WCC鈥檚 fifth ISA for its AI program. It also extends its Artificial Intelligence Engineer degree to students at Brunswick, Johnston, Wilson, and Nash community colleges.
