Free Seminars Set for Small Business Week

The WayneBusinessand Industry Center (WBIC) has scheduled several activities to recognize this year’s NationalSmallBusinessWeek, May 1-7.

“We have planned some sort of free seminar or event every day nextweekto supportsmallbusinesses and entrepreneurs in Wayne County,” said WBIC Executive Director Craig Foucht.

The seminars are
Boots toBusiness(for U.S. military active duty, dependents, and veterans only) – 9 a.m.-1 p.m., May 2-3, Walnut 104 on the 鶹ýӳ campus in Goldsboro and online;
BusinessTax Essentials – 2-4 p.m., May 2, online;
Gaining and Retaining Customers – 2-3:30 p.m., May 5, online; and
Buying and Selling aBusiness– 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., May 6, online.
Individuals can register for these seminars .


Smallbusinesses that are interested in working within the federal market can participate in the Regional MilitarySmallBusinessOutreach and Vendor Event on May 4 at the Maxwell Center. Get details about the event and link for registration at.
